For our 3rd Learning, Teaching and Training Activity  as well further planning of project-activities all partners met in Bursa/Turkey, located in north-western Anatolia, within the Marmara Region. Bursa is the fourth most populated city in Turkey and one of the most industrialized metropolitan centres in the country.

On Sunday, October 14th, all partners had arrived in Bursa and stayed in the Kervansaray Bursa City for these days. After a long journey all partners were welcomed warmly and heartily.

On Monday morning the whole group went to school. Groups were acquainted with school management and teachers. all groups were warmly welcomed by the school administration and teachers. After Cine-vision films of Turkey and Bursa City, visitors were led through the school and visited classes. They were welcomed specially by one class which had prepared questions about schools and countries partners were visiting from. It was very amazing how enthusiastically the guests were welcomed by the school community.

After classroom visit, visitors were led through the school multipurpose hall to conduct a series of activities"The theme of the first day meeting :Getting to Know Each Other,Group Dynamic Exercises + reflection"

After the lunch, all delegates did some sightseeing in Bursa.They visited and got some information about Orhangazi and Osmangazi Tomb.Tophane-Ulu Mosque-Green Tomb-Kozahan-Grand Bazaar

On Tuesday morning, The theme of the meeting: Outdoor education games and activities. Participants experienced good examples of outdoor games and education. After the session ,they visited Bursa Science and Technology Centre: is Turkey's the most comprehensive science center, offering nearly 150 specially designed galleries, testing exhibits and robotic, electric and electronic workshops.

Arzu AYYILDIZ, from provincial directorate for national education of Bursa,Mustafa SEVİNÇ district director of national education of Yıldırım and department manager Ahmet GÜLTEKİN paid a visit to the school for project works and activities.

After lunch,they visited Gemlik and İznik district: The art of tile ; the participants were informed and made their own ceramic tile and visited historical visit to Hagia Sophia  

On Wednesday, the participants were informed Turkish traditional games: Every region of Turkey has a different history of cultural games the children have played, but similarities exist between the games in different regions. Some games have a history throughout Turkey and even into other countries.They learnt Turkish traditional game "mangala" and they played it.After that ,they conducted The theme of the meeting :Safety in the group - exercises

After lunch they left to visit Cumalıkızık, a village located 10 kilometres east of the city of Bursa, at the foot of Mount Uludağ. Its history goes back to the Ottoman Empire's foundation period. The historical texture of the village has been well protected and the civilian countryside architectural structures of the early Ottoman period are still intact. Many impressions were made and all of us were already impressed by Turkish hospitality. After village visit, they went on a tour for Textile Museum; . One of the first industrialization samples established by the state; Merinos Wool Weaving Factory was designed by German architects on 262.000 m2 land and opened on 2nd February 1938..

On Thursday , The theme of the meeting:Drama workshop, Social Skills, Communication with Creation and Playing.The participants were informed and performed an application about shadow play .After session , they visited karagöz museum got to know the story of Hacivat and Karagöz, the lead characters of the traditional Turkish shadow play.They also watched a short shadow

They visited a short excursion to the plane tree and it is an important landmark of Bursa .With a girth of 9.45 meters, the tree is approximatly 600 years old. It has 13 main branches and is 45 meters tall.

On Friday , The theme of the meeting: Exercise based on the reflection diaries. Ending exercise, and evaluation.They applied a learning café workshop .it is also called World cafe. The aim of the learning cafe activity was to create a process for leading collaborative dialogue, share knowledge and create possibilities for action in groups of all sizes.

Wonderful five days ended in the farewell dinner and a lot of laughing.all groups went home with many wonderful memories in their hearts and some tasks, which were decided of in the coordinators meetings to be done over the coming months.

They all thanked to school principal Tuncay ÖZDEMİR, Project coordinator Serkan YEŞİLBAĞ and school project team in particular for organizing these great days but also to everybody else who helped to make these a success.
